Why We Built This Fund
Traditional handloom supply chains often pass a weave through three or four intermediaries before it reaches a retailer — each one taking a margin that never reaches the person who actually spun the yarn and wove the cloth. The Weaver Support Fund exists to shorten that chain.
A fixed share of every Professional Kit and Fabric Kit purchase is routed directly to the cooperative that produced it, on top of the base price we already pay for the material itself. That contribution funds fair wages, shared equipment (dye vats, warping frames), and quality-of-life improvements for weaver households — not marketing or overhead.
Where the Fund Goes
Bengal Silk-Khadi Collective
Our primary hub for Mulberry Silk-Khadi blends, where hand-spinning and pit-loom weaving are passed down through generations of household weavers.
Coimbatore Ikat Cooperative
Source of our natural-dyed fine Ikat cottons, dyed with pomegranate rind and madder root extracts by artisans specializing in geometric traditional weaves.
SEWA Network Partners
We work alongside Self Employed Women's Association (SEWA) networks to ensure fair-wage dignity and women-led economic independence across our supply chain.
